Adalysis will alert you if your ads show a consistent downward trend in CTR, which is not related to weaker visibility (i.e., no significant change in the search result position). The alert will appear on your Dashboard.
By default, Adalysis checks for ads with a CTR decrease of more than 30% in the past 7 days compared to the past 30 days. You can change these conditions and the minimum click threshold in the Audit Settings of your Adalysis account.
To improve the click-through rate (CTR) of your ads, review the ad groups that have been impacted and make sure that the ads are engaging and suitable for the search terms that have been displaying them recently. The decrease in CTR could be due to various factors such as:
- Your ads are being shown for new search terms that are not as relevant, leading to a decrease in CTR.
- Changes in targeting, which may have resulted in the ads being displayed to a less relevant audience.
- Competition from other advertisers who have more attractive ad copy and are winning more clicks.
- Recent changes made to the ad copy, which could have had an impact on its effectiveness.
