Get alerted to enabled auto-apply settings
We've added a new alert to notify you automatically about any enabled auto-apply settings in your Google Ads accounts. The auto-apply settings are settings that allow Google to make changes to your account automatically without you reviewing it first.
This new alert will ensure you're not caught by surprise in case any auto-apply setting is enabled without your knowledge. You can find which Google Ads accounts have these settings enabled by filtering the accounts using the below filter:
Within each account dashboard you'll find the alerts in the usual place within the Campaigns category:
2 new campaign alerts added
We now support alerting you to the following campaign settings that might require your attention:
1) Campaigns with an enabled broad match keyword setting:
when this setting is enabled it forces Search campaigns to exclusively use broad match as the keyword match type. Enabling this setting will convert all existing phrase and exact match keywords into broad match.
2) Campaigns that have opted into Google automatically creating your text assets:
when this setting is enabled it allows Google to automatically create text assets (headlines and descriptions) for your text ads.
These new alerts will ensure you're not caught by surprise in case they were enabled without your knowledge. You can quickly find which Google Ads accounts have these settings enabled by filtering the accounts using the below filter:
Within each account dashboard you'll find the alerts in the usual place within the Campaigns category:
Ad schedule details now visible within budget allocation
The automatic budget allocation feature allows you to put your budget management on auto-pilot by adjusting your campaign daily budgets regularly to achieve your monthly spend goal. This feature also supports campaigns with regular no-spend periods (e.g. campaign gets switched off during weekends).
We've now improved the visual aspect of this feature to display the number of days in the current month when ad scheduling is detected. The automatic budget allocation feature will update this daily to detect and adapt automatically to any new changes in ad scheduling or spending patterns.
This increased transparency will give our customers insights into how the daily budgets are calculated and allocated.
Introducing the new 'Overview' screen
We've introduced a new 'Overview' screen giving a summary of many of the important alerts and metrics in an account. The new Dashboard > Overview screen is now the default dashboard screen and the old default screen (the Alerts screen) has now moved to the next position.
Multiple improvements
We've recently added a couple of improvements:
1) You can now see the PMax asset group performance for various date ranges:
2) All screens showing the Performance Analyzer data support downloading the data in PDF format:
Demographics 'Income' data is now available
In addition to being able to see and manage the demographics segments of Age, Gender and Parental we've now also added the Income segment.
This data is also supported in the Audit report
Adjust the AI ad text language (ChatGPT)
Our popular AI ad text generation tool (based on ChatGPT) suffered from an occasional wrong language selection when the keyword text wasn't clear enough to determine the campaign language accurately.
We've now added the ability to manually select the language you want to use if the AI algorithm gets it wrong the first time:
Introducing the Global settings template
One of the frequent feature requests we receive is to have the ability to apply a common set of performance monitors and/or alert settings to newly linked Google Ads accounts. This way, any new account linked to Adalysis will have these settings automatically applied to it, and hence ensure all your accounts use consistent settings.
You can now achieve the above by using the global settings template. Populate this template with a common configuration that you'd like applied to all accounts linked to Adalysis in the future.
Settings that you can define in the global template include: performance monitors, customized alert settings, automatic actions, and disabled alerts.
View the overlap of PMax search terms with Search/Shopping search terms
In addition to already being able to see all your PMax search terms on one screen (for all your campaigns), we've now also added the ability to see which of these PMax search terms exist as a:
- Keyword in a Search campaign
- Search term in a Search campaign
- Search term in a Shopping campaign
This gives a clear picture of the overlap and traffic cannibalization between PMax and Search/Shopping campaigns.
Furthermore, we've also now added the View search term overlap button which gives you a full breakdown of the overlap for all your PMax campaigns.
For more information about the PMax search terms features please check this tutorial.
Duplicate search term threshold change
The duplicate search term alert is one of our most popular alerts regularly used to improve your ad targeting and add the appropriate negative keywords.
Some accounts have a large number of duplicate search terms but with very low impressions. Adding these as negative keywords won't have a big impact on performance. Hence, to help focus on the most important negative keywords we've increased the threshold to 50 impressions (in last 90 days) i.e. a search term needs to have that minimum impressions before it will be included in the alert.
You can view and change the alert settings from within the same screen where you manage the alert:
or from the Audit settings screen:
Improved performance analysis
The Performance screen now makes it easier than ever to see performance trends across a date range of choice as well as identify the root cause of any performance changes (via the popular Performance Analyzer tool). The below screenshot highlights the recent changes.
